Alessia Paradisi was born in Rome about thirty years ago. When younger, photography was just a hobby which would later develop into a mature passion.
Her first camera was one of the many presents for her Holy Communion. She gave in to the smells of a laboratory when still a teenager during the afternoon hours at school and studied for five years at the National Institute for Cinema and Television (Istituto di Stato per la Cinematografia) “Roberto Rossellini” in Rome where she obtained both the professional qualification in 1994 and her diploma the next year.
Her first experience was a part-time assistant – she worked at week-ends – to a photographer specialised in nuptial ceremonies. She worked as well taking pictures for small picture books and catalogues until 1996 when she became a full-time photographer at Master Photo Press Agency directed by Bruno Bruni.
In 1999 she worked briefly for another agency in Rome, Team Editorial Service, where she met Danilo Schiavella and Giuseppe Giglia, her future partners in a new enterprise started in the following months.
In the August 1999 Alessia Paradisi began a new collaboration with the Italian Press Agency ANSA and followed events related to the Jubilee Year and the World Gay Pride held in Rome in 2000.
She also covered political events – congresses held by political leaders such as Pannella, Prodi and Berlusconi and continued her collaboration offering her service for concerts – Sting, Vasco Rossi, Paul McCartney at the Colosseum, “We Are the Future”, and the MTV Music Awards.
Related to the same area have been her works as photographer for television programmes such as Grande fratello, Stasera Pago io, Sogni, Uno di noi, Stranamore and her nights among celebrities such as Di Caprio, Bellucci, Ferilli, Paltrow, Bova.
What’s in store for the future? Who knows.
